Childs Succumbs Here George Adas Childs, 58, of Rt. 2 Albany, died unexpectedly Monday at Phoebe Putney Hospital. Mr. Childs son of the late George Childs and Sally Virginia Burns was born in Opp, AL and moved to Albany in 1948. He was employed by Ideal Heating and Plumbing Company. Survivors include his wife the former Henretta Cook, three daughters; Mrs. Virginia Vinson of the Phillippine Islands, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Burgess, Albany and Mrs. Mildred Jackson, El Paso, TX; a son, Floyd A. Childs, Albany; three sisters; Mrs. Minnie Smith Florence, AL; Mrs. Loetta Wise, New Orleans, LA; and Mrs. Anna Lou Guest, Venice, FL; three brothers; Horace and Harold Childs, Osprey, FL. and J. C. Childs also of Florida; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, the Rev. Raymond Akridge and the Rev. John Dudley officiating. Interment will be in Floral Memory Gardens.
