E. Steadham Succumbs Here Willie E. Steadham of a Pretoria Road address died early today at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Calhoun County he was born Oct 8, 1875, son of the late J. B. Steadham and Alberta Jane Taylor Steadham. He had lived in Albany the last 20 years and was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters; Mrs. Leila Culbreth of Edison, Mrs. Clyde Stewart of Dawson and Mrs. Johnnie Eady of Albany; two brothers; Luther Steadham and Lawrence Steadham both of Albany, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. A. B. Thomas and the Rev. H. E. Phillips officiating. His nephews will serve as pallbearers and interment will be in Philadelphia Cemetery near Edison. The family has requested that flowers please be omitted.
