S. 19 South, Leesburg, died Monday, August 20, 2001, at his residence. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mathews Funeral Home with Interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Sandlin had lived in Leesburg since 1980 moving from Datyon, Ohio. He was a retired manager for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company where he worked for 20 years. Mr. Sandlin had served in the U. S. Air Force and was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sandlin. Survivors include two sons, Troy R. Sandlin of Acworth and Shane A. Sandlin of Leesburg; three daughters, Danise Thomas and Lori Sandlin, both of Leesburg, and Terri S. Brown of Americus; two brothers, Mel Sandlin of Richmond, VA., and Winston Sandlin of Clearwater, FL.; two sisters, Geraldine Fender of Hamilton, Ohio, and Betty Bradley of Trenton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tiffany Thomas, Bethany Thomas, Spencer Brown and Jake Sandlin.
