John Murtha Adams, 67 of Dillwyn VA, formerly of Albany died Friday, March 9, 
2007. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 
Oakview Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Jones will officiate. 

A native of Atlanta, Mr. Adams was a 1957 graduate of Albany High School and a 
1964 graduate of the University Of Georgia Law School. In 1998 he retired from 
Coca-Cola following 33 years of employment as a material manager in Columbus, 
Ohio. Upon retirement he came to Dillwyn VA and was a mentor in Dixie Youth 
League Sports. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Murtha and Eva Ware 
Wilder. He is survived by his wife Denise Wiles Adams of Dillyn VA; a son 
Jonathan Adams of Chicago; a daughter Heather Troyer of NY; a grandson Noah 
Troyer; his mother, Murtha Wilder Adams of Albany; a sister Eve Adams of East 
Lansing MI, a brother David and his wife Lynn of New Orleans, LA; a nephew Ware 
Adams and his wife Ellen of Washington, DC; a niece Lynn Lelong and husband 
Bruce of New Orleans, LA; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Memorial contributions may be made to, Buckingham Co. Youth League (BCYL), 
Junior Wharam, Treasurer, P.O. Box 1126, Dillwyn VA 23936.
