James Louis Alston

DAWSON — James Louis Alston of Parrott, died on Saturday, January 25, 2003, at 
Palmyra Medical Centers Emergency Room. A memorial service will be held at 3 
p.m. today (Sunday) at Cedar Hill Cemetery conducted by Mrs. Jan Alston.

Mr. Alston was a lifelong resident of Terrell County, born May 5, 1931, son of 
the late Frank Fletcher Alston Sr. and Mary Alma Massey Alston. Mr. Alston was 
a retired farmer and salesman with Dawson Motor Company of Dawson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Fletcher Alston of Parrott; a son, Steve 
Alston and a daughter, Gayle Alston, both of Parrott; mother, Mary Alma Alston 
of Dawson; two brothers, Frank F. Alston Jr. and Charlie W. Alston, both of 
Parrott; a sister, Mary Frank Laviner of Dawson; and two grandchildren, Asher 
Alston of Macon and Janna Alston of Statesboro.

Memorials may be made to the Methodist Home for Children & Youth, P.O. Box 
1967, Americus, GA 31709.
