Bryan Newton Avant

ALBANY — Bryan Newton Avant, 58, of Albany, died Friday, February 7, 2003.

His remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Monday, 11 
a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Thad Haygood will officiate.

Born in Miami, FL, Mr. Avant had lived in the Albany area for several years. He 
was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Albany and was a 1963 
graduate of Albany High School. He was a registered pharmacist, graduating from 
the Mercer University School of Pharmacy in 1969 and had worked as a pharmacist 
in the Atlanta area. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivienne Newton 
Avant in 2001.

Survivors include two daughters, Holley A. Wilson of Winder and Amanda A. 
Densmore of Athens; his father, Cecil A. Avent Jr.; a sister, Clare A. Jenkins 
and her husband, Lee, all of Coleman, (formerly of Albany); two grandchildren, 
C.J. Wilson and Noah Wilson; and a niece, Leah Glass.
