Kimbrell Stern - 2006
Mrs. Martha Jean Baer, 78, died July 18, 2006, at South Georgia Medical Center. 
She was born May 25, 1928 to Harmon L. Griffin and Ruby T. Griffin in 
Nashville, GA, she had lived in Albany before moving to Valdosta4 years ago. 
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Albany, GA. Mrs. Baer is survived 
by a son Russell (Rusty) Duane Baer, Valdosta, 4 grandchildren, Nicole Graber 
and her husband Paul, Augusta, GA, John Baer, Julie Baer and Jeremy Baer all of 
Albany, GA, one great grandchild Alexandria Graber of Augusta, GA. She was 
preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Eugene Richard Baer, Sr. Master 
Sgt (Ret.), one son Larry Baer, three sisters Dochia Akridge, Ethelyn Johns, 
Betty Culbreth, four brothers, James H. Griffin, Bayne Griffin, Slayton Griffin 
and Harold Wayne Griffin. Funeral services will be graveside at Floral Memory 
Gardens at 2 PM on Thursday with Rev. Al. Wilburn officiating with burial to 
follow.
