Christine Ball

FITZGERALD — Christine Ball, 88, of Fitzgerald, died Friday, January 10, 2003 
at Life Care Center, Fitzgerald.

A graveside funeral service will be held today (Sunday) 4:30 p.m. in Pleasant 
Grove Cemetery in Wilcox County.

Born August 16, 1914 in Wilcox County, Miss Ball the daughter of the late Sarah 
Ellen Gordon Ball and William Alfred Ball. Miss Ball lived in Ben Hill and 
Wilcox Counties most of her life and was a former resident of Waycross, GA, and 
Tampa, FL, where she was retired as a bookkeeper at Hava Tampa Cigar Company. 
She was a former employee of Fitzgerald Mills. She was a member of Callie 
Garbutt Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Thomas Jordan Ball of Fitzgerald; and numerous 
nieces and nephews.
