Kimbrell Stern - 2007
Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” R. Barfield, 1020 Summit Dr, died Wednesday at her 
residence. Her funeral service will be Friday 2:30 PM at Calvary Baptist Church 
with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Chip Gresham and Rev. Greg Aldridge 
officiating. 

A native of Worth County, Mrs. Barfield had lived in Albany a number of years 
and was retired for Belk’s. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where 
she taught the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, sang in the choir and was 
in the WMU. Mrs. Barfield was a former member of Salem Baptist Church in Worth 
County and loved to participate in gospel sings and fish. Survivors include her 
husband Raymond Barfield, Albany; sons Ray Barfield, Bedford, PA, Michael 
Barfield, Vidalia; grandchildren, Eric and his wife Teresa, Haley and Summer; 
sisters, Joanne Sinyard, Albany, Gwen Knight, Albany, Mildred Goff, Sylvester 
and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday 6 
to 8 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Those desiring please make memorials to the Building 
Fund at Calvary Baptist Church, 1211 13th Ave, Albany, GA 31707.
