Donald L. Barnes

ALBANY — Donald L. "Don" Barnes, 61, of Timber Lane, passed away at his 
residence Friday, December 27, 2002.

Funeral service will be held Monday, at 10 a.m. at Acree First Baptist Church, 
with interment at Andersonville National Cemetery at 2 p.m. with full military 
honors. The Rev. Stanley Hendrix officiating.

Mr. Barnes was born in High Point, NC, and has lived in Albany for the past 27 
years. He retired from the United States Marines and was employed as a security 
guard at Miller Brewing Company since 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Barnes of Albany; his mother, Mary Mitchell 
of Lexington, NC; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Barnes, and David and 
Penny Barnes, all of Atlanta; two brothers, James Barnes and Willie Barnes, 
both of High Point, NC; and two grandchildren, Sydney and Jonathan Barnes.

The family is at the residence.

Visitation will be today (Sunday) from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
