Harry Battle Sr.

ALBANY — Harry Battle Sr., 83, Atlanta, died Sunday, February 2, 2003, at South 
Fulton Medical Center in Atlanta.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Palmyra Baptist Church with 
interment in Palmyra Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Henderson will 
officiate.

Born May 3, 1919 in Lee County, Mr. Battle was a sanitation engineer. He 
attended Lee County public schools and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons, Arthur Carl Battle of Jacksonville, Fla., Harry 
Battle Jr. of Atlanta and Joseph Battle of Albany; two daughters, Rosa Mary 
Battle of Albany and Veronice Gordon of Detroit, Mich.; several grandchildren 
and great-grandchildren.
