William L. Bennett

CAMILLA — William L. (Bill) Bennett, 96, of S. Harney Street, Camilla, died 
Monday, January 20, 2003, at Camilla Retirement Village.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Camilla United Methodist Church with 
interment in Oakview Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Yelverton will officiate.

The pallbearers will be Danny Palmer, Jud Vann, Warren Holton, Fred Rossman, 
Richard Atkinson, Lou Roberts, Warren Roberts and Stone Workman.

The honorary pallbearers will be the Jay Gardner Sunday School Class.

Mr. Bennett was born December 12, 1906, in Camilla, Mitchell County, Ga. He was 
a retired farmer, a Navy veteran, a Master Mason for more than 50 years and a 
member in good standing of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Georgia. 
He was a member of Camilla United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Betty Bennett of Camilla; granddaughter, Jodi 
Perez of Miami, Fla., Harkey Good of Camilla and Rita Good of Santa Barbara, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rossman Bennett and parents, W.A. 
and Elizabeth Butler Bennett.

The family will accept family and friends at Bennett Farm House at S. Harney 
Street, Camilla.

Memorials may be made to J. Gardener Sunday School Class, Camilla United 
Methodist Church, P.O. Box 192, Camilla, GA 31730.
