Kimbrell Stern - 2005
Date of Birth: September 13, 1919  
Date of Death: June 03, 2005  

Mr. Arthur P. Berkshire, 85, **** Ledo Rd, V-23, died Friday at his residence 
following an illness. His funeral service will be Monday 11 AM at Kimbrell-
Stern with interment in Andersonville National Cemetery with full military 
honors. Mr. Ross Powell and Rev. Alex Kendrick officiating. 

A native of Eldorado, KS, Mr. Berkshire had lived in Albany since 1976. He was 
a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the Vita Vola Sunday School Class. He 
retired from the U S Navy in 1966 and work at MCLB until 1981. He was a member 
Dougherty Lodge # 591 F&AM, Monument Lodge # 741 F&AM, Scottish Rite Mason, 
Hasan Shrine Temple Crape Myrtle Chapter # 163 O.E.S., and Amaranth Court 18. 

Survivors include his wife Billie Berkshire, Albany, sons Michael Hughes, 
Summerfield, FL, Arthur Swedelson, Coarsegold, CA, daughters, Pat Hannon, Twin 
Falls, ID, Judy Thomason, Colleyville, TX, Linda Sturk, Knoxville, TN, daughter 
in law, Jerrilyn Stone, Conyers, 12 grandchildren and several great 
grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends Sunday 4 to 6 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. In lieu of 
flowers please make memorials to Scottish Rite, c/o Hasan Temple, 1822 Palmyra 
Rd, Albany, GA 31701.
