Ruby Wright Blackmon


Ruby Wright Blackmon, 96, of Cedar Ave. died Friday, January 27, 2006, at 
Palmyra Medical Centers.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006, at Beulah 
Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. J.H. Reynolds will 
officiate.

Mrs. Blackmon was born August 19, 1909, in Early County to the parent of Samuel 
and Carrie Wright. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she was a 
member of the Willing Workers Club and Senior Mission; she was also a member of 
Artesian City Chapter #217, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was the widow of Robert Blackmon Sr.

Survivors include two daughters, Carrie B. (Willie) Reese and Eula B. Miller, 
both of Albany; one son, Freddie Blackmon of Albany; one brother, Woody Carr of 
Albany; one adopted son, Tony Gonzaliez of Tallahassee, FL; 12 grandchildren 
and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
