John Wyatt Blackshear

SHELLMAN — John Wyatt Blackshear, 50, of Shellman died Sunday, September 29, 
2002, at his residence in Shellman.

The graveside funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. at East 
View Cemetery in Shellman. The Reverends Olin Johnson, Hal Lassiter and Jackie 
Williams will officiate.

Mr. Blackshear was born April 15, 1952, in Randolph County, son of John Willie 
Blackshear and Joann Mason Blackshear. He was a self employed millwright and a 
member of Shellman United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Merry Lynn Williamson Blackshear of Shellman; his 
parents, J.W. and Joann Blackshear of Shellman; a son, John Wyatt Blackshear II 
of Albany; three daughters, Marlene Blackshear of Spartenburg, S.C., Abby Lynn 
Blackshear and Rachel Blackshear of Shellman; a brother, Jim Blackshear of 
Shellman; two sisters, Mary Ann Roseholm of St. Simons and Tammy Merritt of 
Cuthbert.

Visitation will be today from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to VISTACARE Hospice, 850 Brookstone Center Parkway, 
Number 200, Columbus, GA 31904.
