Date of Birth: July 14, 1943  
Date of Death: February 21, 2004  


A native of Albany, Miss Bowles also was a resident of Cleveland TN and 
Hackettstown, NJ, later returning here upon retirement. She was a lifetime 
member of Avalon United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Women, 
and a member of the Woodmen of the World. She retired after 37 years of 
employment with M&M Mars, here, Cleveland TN, and Hackettstown N.J where she 
traveled with the M&M Mars Company world wide. “Aunt Joan” loved her family 
dearly, as a loving sister, aunt, and a was a caregiver to a great number of 
friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Willis and Evers Gray Bowles 
and a brother Hughie Bowles. 

The funeral service will be 3 PM, Monday February 23, 2004 at Avalon United 
Methodist Church. Rev. Dale Thorton will officiate and interment will follow in 
Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
