The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Banks Funeral Chapel with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby J. Brown will officiate. A native of Gwinnett County, Mrs. Brown had lived in Worth County most of her life. She was a homemaker and former member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Quilting Club of Bridgeboro. Mrs. Brown had a special talent with arranging flowers and enjoyed doing so for her church. She was a member of Bridgeboro Baptist Church where she was a former choir director and Sunday school teacher. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra B. Cochran of Macon; two sons, Donald and (Melba) Brown and Jimmy and (Muriel) Brown, both of Bridgeboro; nine grandchildren, Kelli C. Martin, Robert J. Cochran, Donna B. Crowe, Janet B. Hudson, Susan B. Varnadoe, Melanie B. Ivey, James Brown, Sherry Willis and Maurice Fitzgerald; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Brown and parents, James Allen and Janie Wages. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
