Joseph Edwin Bryan

BLAKELY — Joseph Edwin Bryan, 98, of Blakely, died Monday, January 13, 2003, at 
Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely.

The graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Cemetery in 
Arlington. The Rev. Joey Cannon will officiate.

A native of Dixie, GA, Mr. Bryan was born September 19, 1904. He had retired as 
assistant manager of B.C. Moore's Department Store and was a member of 
Arlington United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corp. 
during World War II. His parents were the late Tobias Michael Bryan and Ella 
Josephine Bolt Bryan. He was the widower of Josephine Victoria Lexniak Bryan.

Survivors include two daughters, Jerri Collier of Arlington, and Betty Blitch 
of Micanopy, FL; a sister, Ella Maxwell of Brunswick; four grandchildren and 
seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7 p.m.- 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Hospice of S.W. 
Georgia, 1323 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39817.
