A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007, at Hines Memorial C.M.E. Church, 408 N. Madison St., Albany. The remains have been cremated. The Rev. Theodore Draswell will officiate. The Rev. Kenneth McMillian is the pastor. Reginald Albert Bunn was born in Washington, D.C., on November 19, 1942, to the late King and Quora (Ida) Hunter Bunn. He began his education in Washington, D.C., where he graduated from Dunbar High School. He was also a graduate of Albany Technical College. He was a member of Cray Chapel CME Church. At Cray Chapel, he was a loyal member, where he served on the Usher Board and on the Board of Trustees. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he received several Citations and Medals. He did Tours of Duties in Vietnam and Okinawa, Japan. After the military, he began employment with and retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base. He also retired from the Albany Area Community Service Board as an Intervention Counselor with the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program. He was a member of the American Legion Post 512, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He leaves to cherish his memory four sons: Anthony Bunn and Christopher Bunn of Washington, D.C., Patrick L. Bunn and King M. (Evangeline) Bunn of Albany; one cousin reared as a brother, Louis J. Bunn of Virginia Beach, VA; six grandchildren, Patrecia Ellis, LaPorshua White and Jarius White of Albany, Patrick J. Bunn of Ashburn, Octavia Foxworth-Bunn of Fort Irving, CA, and King Bunn III of Syracuse, NY; three step-grandsons, Alonzia D. McDonald, Joshua B. McDonald and Tommy D. Lamar Jr. of Albany; three very close cousins, Jerry Bunn Jr. of Hyattsville, MD, Ernestine Booker and Thomas L. Bunn of Poughkeepsie, NY; and a number of other special cousins, relatives and friends.
