Dorothy Burke

ALBANY — Dorothy "Dot" Burke, 79, of Putney, died Saturday, December 28, 2002 
at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Winnfield, LA, Mrs. Burke had resided in Putney for more than 40 
years. Mrs. Burke retired as a secretary from Coats and Clark with over 27 
years of service.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Stiles and her husband, Chuck of 
Ohio, IL, and Catherine Green and her husband, Paul of Athens; a son, Thomas 
Patrick Giggey and his wife, Linda of Putney; five grandchildren, Susanna 
Giggey, Patrick Giggey, Nicholas Giggey, Megan Stiles, and Benjamin Green; five 
great-grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Mae Donalson of Putney; and several 
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Mason Giggey and Clifford John 
Burke.

The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern, today (Monday) from 6:30 
p.m.-8:30 p.m.
