Robert Edward Campbell

CAMILLA — Robert Edward Campbell, 80, of Fern Road, Camilla, died Tuesday, 
December 10, 2002, at Mitchell County Convalescent Center.

The funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Home Freewill 
Baptist Church #2 in Camilla with the Rev. Bennie Cumbie officiating, and at 4 
p.m. at Spring Branch Baptist Church in Baxley with interment in Ten Mile Creek 
Baptist Church cemetery in Baxley. 

The pallbearers will be Paul Gibson, Bud Gibson, Bill Campbell, Ricky Brock, 
Keith Brock and Carol Middleton.

A native of Appling County, Mr. Campbell was retired from Georgia Power and was 
an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of New Home Freewill Baptist 
Church #2.

Survivors include his wife, Joline Campbell of Camilla; sons, Johnie Campbell, 
David Campbell and Allen Campbell, all of Baxley; daughters, Barbara Gardner of 
Tifton and Brenda Harden of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; stepsons, Donnie Foister of 
Camilla, Randall Foister of Camilla, Daniel Foister of Tallahassee, Fla., Greg 
Foister of Camilla and Bernard Foister of Atlanta; stepdaughters, Sharon 
Bridwell of Camilla, Vickie Sapp of Camilla and Beverly Carr of Newton; 12 
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Campbell and Margie Carter.

Visitation will be 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
