Casey dies in City Thomas C. "Jeff" Casey, 86, 541 Fifteenth Ave. died Friday at his residence following a lengthy illness. Mr. Casey resided most of his life in Dougherty County and was employed at Flint River Cotton Mill before his retirement. He was member of Freewill Baptist Church in Worth County. Mr. Casey was born April 25, 1885, in Emanuel County, and was the son of Thomas Casey and Martha Ann Strange Casey. His wife died in 1953. She was the former Callie Elizabeth Dorch. The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. Judson Luckie, pastor, and the Rev. Minton Goulden. Interment will be in at Riverside Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruthie Hancock and Mrs. Shirley Cooper, both of Albany; five sons, Johnnie B. Casey, Hartford, Conn., and Henry L., R.A., T.G. and Homer C. Casey, all of Albany; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
