Cohagan ALBANY — The funeral service of William E. "Ed" Cohagan, 79, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Albany, GA, who died Monday, October 14, 2002, at his residence after a lengthy illness, was held at 2 p.m. October 17, 2002, at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin, Texas. The Rev. Don Long officiated. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2002, in Italy Cemetery in Italy, Texas. Mr. Cohagan was a Lt. Col. in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 28 years of service. He was also a member of many philanthropic organizations including Albany Scottish Rite Bodies, Hasan Shrine Temple where he was a member of the Legion of Honor. He also served as commander of the Southeastern Legions of Honor in 1985. He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Helen; sons, Michael and wife, Mary and David and wife, Christie; daughter, Kathleen Rode and husband, Curtis; granddaughters, Audrey and Misty; grandson, Jason Hugendubler and sisters, Joann Miles and Virginia Ruth Perkins.
