The Albany Herald - Obituaries
ALBANY — Mary Henderson Cotten, 76, of Ardmore Ln. in Albany, GA, died 
Wednesday, November 26, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be Friday, 11 AM at First United Methodist Church. The 
Rev. Robert Beckum officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Ocilla, GA, Mrs. Cotten has lived in Albany since 1950 where she 
was a member of First United Methodist Church, life member of the Charity 
League, and taught school for over 30 years in Dougherty County, St. Teresa's 
School and Darsey Private School. Mrs. Cotten was a graduate of Valdosta State 
College.

Survivors include her sons, Dr. Bennett Dixon Cotten Jr. and his wife Mary 
Linda of Albany, GA, David Bates Cotten of Albany, GA; two grandchildren, Dixon 
and Bradford Cotten both of Albany, GA; three brothers, Kermit Henderson and 
his wife Delaine of Albany, GA, Maurice Henderson and his wife Zelda of Ocilla, 
GA, and W.J. Henderson and his wife Mary Emma of Ocilla, GA.

The family will be at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Bennett D. Cotten Jr.
