Oscar Julian Cross Jr. 

ALBANY — Oscar Julian Cross Jr., 91, of Doral Court died August 17, 2007, at 
Palmyra Nursing Home. 

The funeral will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Saint 
Matthews Baptist Church, Gus Martin Rd., Leesburg, with interment in the church 
cemetery. The Rev. H.C. Wilson will officiate. 

Born July 24, 1916, in Lee County, Mr. Cross attended Lee County public 
schools. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Cross was a member of Saint Matthews 
Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board. He was also a member of the 
OMEGA Lodge {pound}24. 

Survivors include four sons, Ricky and Gertrude Cross of Albany, Walter and 
Charlie Cross, Moses and Louise Cross and Lonzo Cross, all of Albany; five 
daughters, Mary Car of Detroit, MI, Ramona and Russell Parks of Dothan, AL, 
Darenda Cross, Virginia and the Rev. James Robinson and Lucy Kate and Jessie 
Mims, all of Albany; 38 grandchildren; 38 great- grandchildren and two great- 
great-grandchildren. 

The remains of Mr. Cross will be placed in the church Saturday morning for 
viewing from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
