Addie Laura Murphy Culpepper

PELHAM — Addie Laura Murphy Culpepper, 99, of 1001 Harmony Rd., Meigs, died 
Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Harmony Baptist Church with interment in 
Harmony Cemetery. The Rev. Jessie Alligood will officiate.

A native of Colquitt County, Mrs. Culpepper was born September 29, 1903. Her 
parents were the late Jimmie Russ Murphy and Robert Murphy. She was the widow 
of J.L. Culpepper. Mrs. Culpepper was a former store keeper, home care provider 
and homemaker. She was preceded in death by two sons, Joel Culpepper and 
D.R. "Bo" Culpepper; a grandson, Jim Culpepper; two sisters, Fonnie Johnson and 
Onie Wheeler; and two brothers, Roy Murphy and Paul Murphy.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Lamar "Buddy" Billings 
of Damascus; son and daughter-in-law, James Robert and Gloria Culpepper of 
Harmony; daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Charles Crawford of Tallahassee, 
FL; daughter-in-law, Sara Culpepper of Harmony; 13 grandchildren; 21 great 
grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; 
two sisters, Cornelia Curry and Mary Rogers, both of Moultrie.
