Arthur L. Davis 

SYLVESTER — Arthur L. Davis, 82, of  Main St., Sylvester, died Thursday, 
October 11, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. 

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at First African Baptist Church in 
Sylvester with interment in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Shingler. 
Rev. Marcus Stroud, Pastor will officiate. 

Born October 7, 1925, in Worth County, Mr. Davis was educated in the Worth 
County Public School System. He was a commercial painter and was of the Baptist 
faith. 

Survivors include a great-niece whom he raised as a daughter, Vickie James 
Hall; one sister, Leila Mae Tift; nieces, Carolyn Tift Gordon, Krisalyn Hall, 
Brenda Rabon Walters, Jocelyn Rabon, Courtney Rabon, Andralyn Tift, Shabreka 
Carter, Shakevia Bozeman, Carla Spivey, Cheryl Bond; nephews, Andre (Tonja) 
Tift, Malcom Ford, Shelton Ford II, Andre’ Tift II, Wendel White, Cory James, 
James Carlton Davis, Royce Carnell Davis and Garcia Roberts.
