Mathews Funeral Home - Obituaries
The graveside funeral service of Nellie Mae Stokes Davis, 90, of Albany who 
died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, will be 
conducted Friday May 18, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. (CST) at Pensacola Memorial Gardens 
Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.  Rev. R.C. Wiggins and Rev. Joseph S. Dukes, III will 
officiate. 

A native of Escambia Co. FL, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of, Mannie A. Malone 
and Secola Roach Malone and moved to Evergreen, AL. in 1969 and had resided 
there until moving to Albany  two and a half years ago. She was a retired 
bookkeeper with Conecuh County Waterworks in Evergreen, AL, and was a member of 
Lyeffion Baptist Church, Evergreen, AL before joining Gillionville Baptist 
Church.  She was preceded in death by two husbands, Joseph W. Stokes and Willie 
Clyde Davis and two brothers, George Ernest Malone and William Howard 
Malone.    

Survivors include a brother and his wife, James L. Malone and Kathryn of 
Albany, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews.
