Clarence Douglas

ALBANY — Clarence Douglas, 95, of Sweetwater Drive died Sunday, January 19, 
2003, at his residence.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Salem C.M.E. Church in 
Elmodel. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Anthony Henderson 
will officiate.

A native of Baker County, Mr. Douglas was a member of New Salem Christian 
Methodist Episcopal Church in Elmodel where he served on the steward board.

Mr. Douglas received his education from Baker County School System and Fort 
Valley State College. He was a farmer, a carpenter and married to Juanita 
Payton Douglas for 51 years.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Payton Douglas of Albany; a granddaughter, 
Marva Jean Douglas of Covington; nieces, Eloise Moore and Judy Thomas of 
Albany; nephews, Daniel Douglas of Albany and Robert Douglas Jr. of Ocala, Fla.
