Leanor Nancy Hunter Eddy

ALBANY — The funeral service of Leanor Nancy Hunter Eddy, 79, of Shelton Dr., 
Albany, who died Wednesday, December 25, 2002, will be conducted today at 10:30 
a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Ashley Randall will officiate. Interment 
will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery.

A native of Cove, Arkansas, Mrs. Eddy lived in Albany for the past 34 years. 
Mrs. Eddy was a librarian with civil service retiring in 1985, after 20 years. 
She was a member of Eastern Star Crepe Myrtle Chapter for 27 years, where she 
was Past Worthy Matron. She was a volunteer with the Genealogy Society and she 
attended First Methodist Church of Leesburg.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Eddy of Albany; three sons, Robert 
Jay Eddy and his wife Judy Cates Eddy of Smithville, Charles Jerry Eddy and his 
wife Judy Gail Trawick of Greenbay, Wisc., and James Ronald Eddy of Putney; 
daughter, Linda Slappey Carter of Sylvester; sister, Lillian Opal Bangor of 
Vallejo, CA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
