Carmel Emery Edwards 

ALBANY — Mrs. Carmel Emery Edwards, 87, died Thursday August 30, 2007 at 
Morningside Assisted Living. 

Her funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery in 
Monroe, GA. 

A native of Australia, Mrs. Edwards had lived in Albany for a number of years. 
She was a member of First Christian Church and was a retired seamstress working 
with Rosenberg’s Department Store for 20 years. 

Survivors include her daughters: Mrs. James P. (Bunny) Champion, Sylvester, 
Mrs. Ike (Laura) Latham, Clute, TX, Mrs. Charles R. (Karen) Weber, Olympia, WA; 
five grandchildren: Chip Champion, Fran Sheffield, Carlee McClintock, Jessica 
Griffin, Emily VonRueden; five great-grandchildren Fletcher Sheffield, Sarah 
Sheffield, Claire Champion, Jack VonRueden, Zoe Griffin and a sister, Mrs. A. 
H. (Ida May) Foster, Melbourne, Australia. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday 5 to 7 PM at Kimbrell- Stern Funeral 
Directors..
