Annie Wheeler-Edwards

ALBANY — Annie Wheeler-Edwards, 92, of West Third Ave., Albany, died Thursday, 
October 3, 2002, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Salem Baptist Church in Baconton 
with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. James Edwards will officiate.

A native of Mitchell County, Mrs. Wheeler-Edwards was a homemaker and attended 
Mitchell County public schools. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lillie Peterson of Albany; son, J.T. Brown of 
Albany; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great 
grandchildren.

The family of Mrs. Edwards will receive friends and relatives at the home of 
her granddaughter, Mary Carter,  Hobson Street, Albany, GA.
