L. McDonald, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. M. Mitchell, 412 Roosevelt, early Friday morning, will be held in the chapel of the Albany Undertaking Company Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. R.H. Forrester. Mrs. McDonald died at the age of 74, following an illness of two years. A host of friends were saddened to learn of her passing. Mrs. McDonald was born and reared in Albany, and had lived here practically all her life. Before her marriage, she was Miss Mittie Bailey, daughter of the late Mr. Angus and Cynthia Bailey, who were among the early settlers of Albany. Although an invalid for two years, she bore her suffering with patience. With a smile and kind word for everyone, she was loved and respected by all who knew her. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. J.B. Martin and Mrs. C. H. Kendrick; six grandchildren, T.A. McDonald, Jr., Mrs. W. H. Youngblood, Mrs. Jack McDaniel, Mrs. W.R. Barker, Mrs. George Braswell, and Jake Martin, Jr., and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Messrs. N.R. Couch, H.T. McIntosh, E. J. Stocks, Charlie May, Raymond Marks, and Frank DeVane. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
