Wallace, killed in Action March 27, 1945 while fighting with the U. S. Army's 32nd Division in the Phillipines, will arrive in Albany Thursday at 4:10 p.m., accompanied by a military escort. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Albany Undertaking Company by the Rev. L. A. Harrell, pastor of the First Methodist Church, assisted by Chaplain Marion L. Nelson of Turner Field. Interment will follow in Oakview Cemetery. Members of Albany Post 30 of the American Legion will serve as active pallbearers, and an honorary escort will be formed by members of Post 30 and Post 2795, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Full military honors will be accorded the fallen soldier. The body will lie in state at the home of Mrs. W. L. Tedders, 716 N. Van Buren ave. from Thursday at 5 p.m. until Friday at 1 p.m. The soldier was born and reared in Albany, graduating from Albany High School in 1939. Prior to entering the Army he was employed by Sears, Roebuck & Company. Technician Wallace is survived by his mother, Mrs. F. A. Wallace; two sisters, Mrs. W. L. Tedders and Miss Gertrude Wallace, and a brother F. A. Wallace, Jr. all of Albany. The Albany Undertaking Company is in charge of arrangements. photo included with the obituary
