D. Wallace is Dead in East Dougherty" "Funeral Will Be Held This Afternoon at Old Pine Bluff Church Cemetery" The death at her home in East Dougherty of Mrs. J. D. Wallace, last night after a long illness through which she had been a patient sufferer, brings sadness to a large family connection and many friends. Mrs. Wallace's illness began last summer when she suffered a paralytic stroke from which she never rallied. She received the tender care of children and other loved ones throughout the long period of invalidism which preceded her death, for which she waited with patient resignation. Mrs. Wallace's husband, the late J. D. Wallace, well-known citizen of Dougherty County, preceded her to the grave by about three years. Surviving their parents are the following children: F. A. Wallace, N. W. Wallace and J. D. Wallace, Jr. of Albany; L. P. Wallace of Doerun; W. L. W. L. Wallace of St. Simon's Island; Mrs. J. B. Peak of Cuthbert, and Mrs. W. E. Ramsey of Camilla. There are a number of grandchildren and many friends throughout Dougherty county and this section of the staty, and much sympathy is felt for those whom the death of this devoted mother and most excellent woman so greatly bereaves. The funeral of Mrs. Wallace will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the old Pine Bluff church cemetery, four miles west of Albany, between the Sylvester and Cordele Highways where other members of the family are buried.
