"Deaths and Funerals"

Mr. J. D. Wallace, Sr.

The death of Mr. J. D. Wallace, Sr., occurred this morning at 3 o'clock at his home,
several miles east of the city. Mr. Wallace had been in ill health for more than two
months and during the past two weeks his condition became so grave that fears for his
recovery were entertained. The end came quietly this morning.
Mr. Wallace was 66 years of age. He is survived by a devoted wife, four sons and
three daughters. The sons are: Messrs, J. D. Wallace, Jr., F. A. Wallace, and N. W.
Wallace, all of this city and L. P. Wallace, of Doles. The daughters are Mrs. J. B.
Peak of Cuthbert, Mrs. B. Ramsey and Mrs. O. L. Hooks of this city.
The funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the family residence
and the interment will be in the family cemetery, which is situated only a short distance
from the home.
Their many friends extend sympathy to the family in their hour of sadness.
