Hwy. #313, Sylvester, died Sunday, January 8, 2006, at Sylvester Health Care. The funeral will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday at Red Oak Baptist Church with interment in Red Oak Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Burnett and the Rev. Donald Cole will officiate. Born June 9, 1913, in Worth County, to Emma Elizabeth Houston Giddens Bolton and William Picket Giddens. Mr.Giddens had lived in Worth County all of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of Red Oak Baptist Church. He was the widower of Claudine Daniels Giddens and Elois Webb Giddens. Survivors include his brothers,Brooks Giddens of Sylvester and Robert Bolton of Leesburg; sister-in-law, Eldora Grubbs of Sylvester; stepdaughter, Debra Watson of Sylvester. In addition to his parents, first wife and second wife, Mr. Giddens was preceded in death by two sons, Harris Wayne and William Randall Giddens. The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
