Hilda Elousie Givens

COLQUITT — Hilda Elousie Givens, 67, of Colquitt, died Monday, January 6, 2003, 
at Miller County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with interment 
in Cook's Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Earl Lamey will 
officiate.

A native of Miller County, Mrs. Givens was born August 15, 1935. She was a 
homemaker and a member of Kimbrel's Chapel Church of God. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, Henry David Givens; a daughter, Joyce Anne Chase; and two 
sisters, Haudell Cook and Katrina Stinson.

Survivors include a son, James Givens of Colquitt; four daughters, Brenda Sue 
Hughes, Debra Bridges, Leashia McMullen and Beverly Tabb, all of Blakely; two 
sons-in-law, Jerome Bridges and James L. Tabb, both of Blakely; four brothers, 
C.D. Thompson of Colquitt, Bradley Thompson of Pelham, Frank Thompson of 
Americus, and Wendell Thompson of Colquitt; 12 grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
