Cecil D. Glover

CLAYTON — Cecil D. Glover, 60, died at his home Saturday, February 8, 2003, 
following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born February 17, 1942, in Pelham, GA, to the late Norman Glover and 
Annie Belle Whigham Glover. He graduated from Pelham High School in 1960, with 
the same classmates that he began the first grade with.

Mr. Glover graduated from Southern Technical Institute in 1964, with a degree 
in mechanical technology. He enjoyed a long career as a mechanical contractor 
in Atlanta, GA, before his health problems sent him into an early retirement in 
the beautiful town of Clayton, GA.

In Clayton, Mr. Glover served as a meals-on-wheels volunteer and enjoyed his 
close "Old Clayton Inn Coffee Club" friends on a daily basis.

Mr. Glover is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, James Burnes and Jesse Glover; 
daughters, Melanie Graves, Christina Waite and Tina Glover; granddaughter, 
Jennifer Burnes; sister, Margaret Thompson; and a brother, Wallace Glover. In 
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Glover 
Stowe.

Services for Cecil D. Glover will be held at 4 p.m. today at First United 
Methodist Church of Clayton, GA. Following the church service, relatives and 
friends are encouraged to attend a "Celebration of Life Gathering" to be held 
at the Old Clayton Inn on Main Street in Clayton, GA.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to The American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank all of the staff of the Hospice of Northeast 
Georgia for their help and support.
