Thomas H. Gurr

ALBANY — Thomas (Tommy) H. Gurr, 92, of 5th Ave., died suddenly Monday morning, 
December 30, 2002, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

The funeral service will be Thursday, 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment in 
Crown Hill Cemetery. Faron Hammer, Minister, Forest Chapman, Minister and Jere 
Via, Minister will officiate.

A native of Byromville, Mr. Gurr had lived in Albany since 1930 and was retired 
Produce Manager from Colonial Stores where he had worked for 37 years. He was 
an active member of Dawson Road Church of Christ since 1942 and through the 
years he taught Bible Class, served as Church Treasurer, Church Deacon and 
Church Elder.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Young Gurr of Albany; son, Frank Gurr and 
his wife, Brenda of Warner Robins; daughter, Pat Sizemore of Albany; four 
grandchildren, Traci Jolley of Warner Robins, Laura Frey of Moreland, GA, 
Michael Poole and Joey Sizemore, both of Albany; three great-grandchildren.

Those desiring please make memorials to Dawson Road Church of Christ and the 
family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors Wednesday from 
3 PM till 5 PM.
