Kitchen Dies Funeral to be held Tuesday -------- Friends of Mr. E.T. Kitchen, 82, were shocked and saddened to learn of his death Sunday afternoon at his home at 415 Highland Avenue. Mr. Kitchen had been in ill health for some time. He was a well known citizen in Albany, having lived here all of his life. He was secretary of the Retail Merchants Association for many years. At one time he was connected with the Albany Hardware and Mill Supply Company and the Tift Dry Goods Company. He was secretary and treasurer of the First Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Kitchen is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Towns Kitchen; one daughter, Mrs. Ida Kitchen Reid, of Albany; one sister Mrs. Sarah E. Floyd, Albany; one brother S.B. Kitchen of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and a number of great neices and nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the First Baptist Church. Dr. W. Raleigh White will conduct the service, assisted by the Rev. J. Ed Fain, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, and Chaplain Warren M. Marshall, Jr. of Turner Field. Interment will follow in Oakview Cemetery. Active pall bearers will be J.W. Armstrong, J.W.Parker, O.D. Culpepper, John E. Tarpley, Kenneth Dickson, E.H. Heidt. Honorary pall bearers will be T.S. Matthews, M.W. Tift, H.T. McIntosh, J.W. Bush, C.R. Davis, John A. Davis, A.K. Sneed and A.P. Vason. Albany Undertaking Company is in charge of the arrangements. Additional Comments: Note: S.B. Kitchen is Samuel Benjamin Kitchen.
