Obituary  -  Eugene Brooks

  Sylvester, Ga.  -  The funeral of Eugene Brooks, 70, of Sylvester, who died 
Wednesday, will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday at Banks Funeral Chapel with 
interment in Hillcrest Cemetery.
  A native of Mahoning  County, Ohio, Brooks had lived in Worth County since 
1966.  He was a retired civil service employee at the Marine Corps Base in 
Albany, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member and deacon at First 
Baptist Church in Acree.  He was a member of the Southern Field Trials Club's 
Board of Directors and past secretary and treasurer.
  Survivors include his wife, Virginia Dennis Brooks of Sylvester; a son, 
Michael Brooks of Albany; a daughter, Susan Collyer of Crozet, Va., and a 
brother, Paul Brooks of Salem, Ohio.
