Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at US 19 Church of Christ, Brother Jesse Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens. Mrs. Emma Jean Hallman was born to the late Wadel “Doc” Williams and the late Earlene Bivins Williams on January 10, 1951, in Baker County. Emma attended the public schools of Baker County and graduated from East Baker High School in 1969. She went on to pursue nursing at Albany Area Technical School. At an early age, she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and became a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Newton, GA. Later in life, she united with US 19 Church of Christ. “Jean” as she was affectionately called, married the love of her life, Henry Lee “Peter” Hallman on January 11, 1969. To this union one child, Henry Bryan, was born. Emma Jean practiced nursing at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for over thirty years. During her time there, she followed her passion for caring for people in their time of need. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace and Wadel Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Peter of Albany, GA; son, Bryan (Dialisa) of Albany, GA; two grandchildren, Bryan Xavier and Deja Bryana, both of Albany, GA; three sisters, Joyce Williams Butler of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Williams of Valdosta, GA, and Patricia Williams Tarver of Albany, GA; a very dear friend, Gloria Hall of Newton, GA; five aunts; one uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
