The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church (Sports Complex) with interment in Roselawn Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Lorenzo L. Heard will officiate. A native of Dougherty County, Mr. Harris attended the public schools of Dougherty County and Albany Technical College where he obtained a certificate in culinary arts. He served active duty in the Vietnam War having received an honorable discharge in 1972. He was a member of the American Disabled Chapter in Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Reid Harris of Lawrenceville, formerly of Albany; five children, Alexis Harris and Jordan Harris, both of Lawrenceville, Zenola Harris of Harlem, N.Y., Deidra Colmon and Darnell Harris, both of Charlotte, N.C.; mother, Ella Louise Terry and father, Elijah Honey Harris, both of Albany; four brothers, Wendell Harris and James Harris of Albany, Apostle Alexander Harris and Michael Harris of Blakely; four sisters, Tyra Mathis of Albany, Edna Hardy of Manhattan, N.Y., Letia Tinson and Samuella Lee of Blakely.
