Date of Birth: April 18, 1925  
Date of Death: March 21, 2007  

Mamie Lee Harris, 81, of Albany, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Phoebe 
Putney Memorial Hospital following an illness. Her funeral service will be 
SATURDAY 11 AM at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with interment to 
follow at Riverside Cemetery. Pastor Gale Harris will officiate. 

Born in Baker County, she had lived in this area all of her life. She was a 
member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and served as its secretary 
for many years. She worked with the Charles M. Stern family for many years and 
was employed with Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors until her retirement in 
1993. 

Mamie Lee was preceded in death by her husband Prince Harris. Survivors include 
3 sons: Charles Harris and his wife Gloria, Glenn Curtis Harris, and Gale 
Harris and his wife Patricia, all of Albany; 12 grandchildren: Angela Boyd, 
Shona Cheeks, Kenyuanna Taylor, Kawanis Lawson, Lafonya Byrd, D’Eric Williams, 
Aaron King, Corey King, Charles, Harris, Jr., Calvin Harris, Cruz Harris, 
Timothy Harris; 14 great-grandchildren.
