Eugene Hayes

ALBANY — Eugene Hayes, 81, of Dorsett Avenue died Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at 
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. 
Dnaiel Shealy will officiate.

A native of Mitchell County, Mr. Hayes was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtice Hayes of Albany; two daughters, Brenda 
Hayes Tift of Albany and Rosalind (Jamie) Hayes of Greensboro, N.C.; two sons, 
David Hayes of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Donald Hayes of Milledgeville; three 
grandchildren, Stephanie Ellis of Albany, David Hayes Jr. of Sioux Falls, S.D., 
and Shoshani Hayes of Durham, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Albert Ellis III, 
Brelanah Fields, Brittanel Hayslip and Davis Hayes III; one great-niece, Ethel 
Davenpport of Riverdale.
