The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today at the graveside in the Bronwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Herrington and the Rev. Tommy McDonald officiating. Mr. Herrington was a native and lifelong resident of Terrell County, born December 31, 1924, son of the late Floyd Lee Herrington and Carrie Wiggins Herrington. He graduated from Bronwood High School in 1941 and served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bronwood United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Carlisle Herrington and his second wife, Jackie Pines Herrington. Survivors include two sons, Buster Herrington and Rex Herrington, both of Bronwood; two daughters, Mary Jean Draper of Leesburg and Sandra Wilkerson of Albany; a brother, Floyd Lee Herrington Jr. of Americus; and a sister, Grace Hardee of Lanark Village, FL; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
