Robert Griffin Holman

ALBANY — Robert Griffin Holman, 86, of Albany, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2005.

He was born in Hartford, AL, October 10, 1918 but spent most of his life in 
Albany. He attended the University of Georgia and was a member of Kappa Alpha 
Order. Mr. Holman was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of 
Albany and a charter member of Doublegate Country Club.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Lucas Holman of Albany; a 
son, Robert C. Holman Jr. of Denver, CO; daughters, Lucy H. Stone of Cumming, 
and Kathy H. Pennington of Natchez, MS; brothers, William C. Holman and Dr. 
Charles M. Holman, both of Albany; and six grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the home on Tuesday.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. 
Mike McAfee will be conduct the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the First United 
Methodist Church of Albany, in his memory.
