LaVert Howell
May 10, 1916 - July 31, 2007

LaVert Howell of Leesburg died Tuesday July 31, 2007 at Lee County health Care. 
Funeral service will be held Thursday 10:00 AM at Lee County Church of Christ 
with interment to follow in Thundering Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. 
Minister Eddie Garcia officiating. 

A native of Sylvester, Mrs. Howell has lived here all her life and was a member 
of Lee County Church of Christ. Mrs. Howell was the only student to earn 2 
diplomas from Albany High School in 4 years. She was the past president of 
Georgia School Food Service Association and was retired from the Dougherty 
County School System.

 Survivors include her daughter Yvonne White of Valdosta, 3 sons, George W. 
Howell, Jr. of Leesburg, Mark A. Howell of Rowlett, TX and James E. Howell of 
Leesburg, sister, Mertis Gillis of Deland, Fl,9 grandchildren, Joann, David, 
Chuck, Kelley, Kay, Brett, Alan, Michael and Joshua. 12 great grandchildren. 
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour 
at Lee County Church of Christ.
