A graveside funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Pelham Cemetery. The Rev. David Pickering officiating. Born on November 23, 1910 in Mitchell County, GA, Mrs. Humphries was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Walter Russell Taylor and Leila Bell Singleton Taylor, and the wife of the late Sylvester Humphries. Visitation will be held today (Sunday) from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Brian Humphries, Jimmy Humphries, Wes Humphries, and Tony Humphries. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne E. Humphries and Cordelia of Camilla, Sydney Humphries and Jackie of Pelham, and Shirley Humphries of Pelham; special aide, Gloria Williams of Pelham; brother, Kenneth Taylor of Atlanta; sister, Frances Marshall of Canton; and 11 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Humphries is preceded in death by two sons, Jerry T. Humphries and Donahue Humphries.
